Competition MUPAC

Located in Cantabria, this competition proposed the new Prehistory & Archeology Museum. The platform or base that creates a public square to access the Museum is the main concept of the project. We found the administrative program in the north of the building. The skin reveals its structure and becomes accessible on the public part of the museum.

The building is involved by a double skin. The first one, self-supporting, supports the building and guarantees its water-tightness. The second one, has the mission of sifting or veiling. Resin panels and aluminum hydroxide allow, through opening, to screen the entrance of light.
